Heading into the first "Signature Event" of the season, and we're starting to see who of the youth movement is planting their flag:

Chris Gotterup (group 3.1) - 26 points

Ryan Gerard (3.2) - 16 points

Jake Knapp (3.2) - 10 points

Nicolai Hojgaard (4.1) - 10 points

They'll be tested against a Major-worthy field this week as everyone descends on Pebble Beach for free money and points. Every top ranked non-LIV player who is healthy will be teeing it up on a course that is vastly past its prime.

Pebble looks awesome, but is no longer a real test of golf for the world's best players. Epic par 5s that took two herculean shots now require only a 3-wood and 8-iron. It sounds like the weather could be pretty rough so that'll at least keep the scores down. Maybe.

This is the 3rd year as a Siggy Event, which thankfully boots all the "amateurs" after the first two rounds. It makes the weekend - especially Saturday - much more bearable to watch.

I wish these elevated contests rotated a bit more to different venues/hosts, especially with Pebble scheduled as an anchor site for the US Open (2027, 2032, 2037, 2044). It's just a little overkill, and I firmly believe scarcity creates intrigue.

But we should have some compelling golf with big points in the pool.

Good luck!
