The big news in golf — that doesn't involve sending a woman straight to the moon — is Match Play will be used as the TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP format in 2028. There's some videos out there explaining the format and two-week process... it looks awesome... and they're actually going to play out all 16 spots once it gets to the bracket rounds. Amazing.

As the LIV butterfly finally dies, the effect of the rogue league flapping it's wings is clear. The PGA TOUR will be the best version of itself in 2028 - with a slightly more scarce schedule (not scarce enough, of course), and a clear distinction of which tournaments "matter."

This would not have happened if the TOUR didn't hire Brian Rolapp away from the NFL. Which wouldn't have happened if they didn't take on billions of private investment dollars. Which wouldn't have happened if they weren't in an arms race to outspend the Saudis for top talent.

Rarely does such disruption end with a better product. But this one time... it happened.

Unfortunately that's two years away and we have to pretend this week's TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP holds historical value. Thirty players, no "starting strokes," a ton of cash at the end.

Scottie is out infecting everyone with Hand Foot and Mouth disease. He should be kicked off TOUR. He's also... once again... the top point earner in our pool. Matt Fitz and Cam Young are nearly 50 points behind him. I have no idea what to do with Scottie moving forward. I'll probably just put him up against free points.

I don't think there's a chance Seth loses his top spot in the pool. The Kyle vs. Chandler battle for the bottom spot could flip. The top 23 is jostling for money position. Everyone else... thanks for playing!
