The End of the Playoffs

We've made it! The most exciting stretch of golf is here, the PGA TOUR Playoffs!

Over the next three weeks we'll see Memphis, St. Louis, and Atlanta — all spots where the heat index will be over 100 — as players battle it out for $180+ million!

If that doesn't get your juices flowing, nothing will. Nevermind you could build six world-class golf courses with that amount!

But alas, it'll all be blown up... eventually... maybe.

This year 70 players remain for the first event, and there's a "hard-ish soft" top 100 cutoff for actual cards. At the end of next year we'll have the same playoff format, with a very slight chance they implement Match Play in the finals. Then — and stop me if you've heard this before — we're going to see some real change.

In 2028 there will be a two-track schedule, which means this pool will look a little different. The goal is to have you draft online through the website, and incorporate real-time updates during all tournaments. All of this will require some pretty tight guardrails keeping our group private, but we'll figure it out.

Just as I trust the new PGA TOUR CEO to figure out how to improve the product. We're in this weird spot of being told "something better is coming... but watch how amazing this is!"

None of the top players want to be in Memphis this week. Alas, here they are. It's worth 1.5x in our pool. There's going to be a bunch of shuffling in the money at the top of the leader board. Not so much in the bottom as some idiot has that all but locked up.

Not sure how we got here.
