The season is chugging along, as we head to Scotland this week for the Scottish Open. We also have an opposite field event with the ISCO Championship in Kentucky. Between those two events, all of your players should be teeing it up. Criminally... they're both worth the same amount of points! The remnants of a broken schedule system.

Speaking of... since I last checked in, the PGA TOUR finally announced changes I've been wanting to see for years. A "smaller" track of top events... and match play for the playoffs!

This will be very much like the NCAA patting themselves on the back for creating a playoff system, after years of telling us it wasn't possible. Get ready for a ton of PGA TOUR promo material about how great match play is (which is correct, but better late than never I guess).

Next year will be more of the same as far as this pool is concerned, but 2028 should look a little different with some off-weeks and a much smaller pool of players to pick from. I was going to convert this website into an actual app to better draft and monitor your teams, but that'll have to wait another year until we get more details of the overhaul.

I'm definitely optimistic of the changes, however I don't think they're going far enough. The 120-130 top track number of players should be 100-110 (keeping a cut in each event). Maintaining 24+ events on the top track is also insane. That should be reduced to 20 at most, creating more scarcity. Rumors are the Majors will be bookend by Championship events!

All of this will probably be tweaked in 2030, which seems so far away. But at least we're moving in the right direction.

Looks like our leader board is tighter than usual this far into the year, at both ends of the list!

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Good luck this week!
