It was an unexpected end to the season with Tommy Fleetwood winning his first ever TOUR event yesterday. I'm not the kind of person who will say a 30-man field shouldn't count as a win... but I am the kind of person that will point out it was only a 30 man field. Nobody beats Tommy 164 times in a row!

Reminiscent of Tom Hanks in Cast Away, it took awhile for Fleetwood to deliver.

If the "starting strokes" were still a thing, Scottie would have won by a stroke. But alas — that was a bad idea — and Tommy wins the Super Bowl of golf... much like 9-7 Giants in 2011.

Even more shocking was our final leader board, with Melissa — who basically led the entire season — being passed by two entries and caught by a third! The tumble cost her $450 in one week!

How did that happen? Let's look at Litman's solo-2nd roster at the TOUR Championship:

1 - Fleetwood

2 - Cantlay

2 - Henley

3 - Scottie

3 - Young

4 - JT

4 - Keegan

That's 96 of a possible 124 points!

Our winner, Tyler D, scored the 2nd most points, also with 7 golfers. And Steve B. kept a firm grip on DFL money, easily securing the cellar cash.

The rest of the leader board was mainly jostling for position, as only Mike H. fell out of the money... replaced by Miles T. who had a big day.

Scottie finished with the most points for the 4th year in a row, and Rory was a distant 2nd. I'm not sure how to entice people to pick against Scottie in 2026. The dude had a cut hand to start the year and was still unstoppable.

The biggest dud was Tom Kim, who was selected by 30% of the pool and only scored 3 points compared to JT's 61. You definitely needed to pick the correct Thomas in that group.

Homa and Finau were also an embarrassment for half the pool.

Write-ins Andrew Novak and Chris Gotterup were excellent selections. And everyone missed the boat on JJ Spaun (68 points!).

The TOUR is adding a 9th siggy event next season. Actual "change" will be slow as the new Commissioner takes over. So next year will be more of the same for this pool.

Enjoy the long off-season!
