Not much scoring in the pool last week thanks to an underwhelming Valspar field. Only 24 points were on the board, with one guy (John D) securing 22 of them! We should expect more of the same over the next two weeks in the Texas swing.

Coming up we have the - *checks notes* - Texas Children's Houston Open? I know we're in the dead weeks before a Major, but I'm not 100% convinced this isn't a junior golf event.

The field this week looks decent, and is yet somehow still technically worse than the Valspar. Texas native and World #1 Scottie will undoubtedly earn most of you more points. Wyndham Clark is the only other player in the top 10. The best of the rest are lower level top 50 guys.

The golf course — Memorial Park — might be a reason to tune in. It's a municipal course recently renovated by Tom Doak with the consultation of Brooks Koepka. We don't see many munis on TOUR, and Doak did an outstanding job making the course profitable. It's not overly daunting for normal golfers (like Bethpage Black), and yet still challenges the pros. I'm interested to see how it holds up.

Good luck!
