Aldrich Potgieter was the story last week in Mexico, even though he finished 2nd. The 20 year old from South Africa leads the PGA TOUR in driving distance (327 average), but apparently sucks around the greens. An all too common issue for bombers.
Anyway, our highest earners of the weekend scored 8 points. So... congrats to them?
Let's move on to the "Florida Swing," beginning with the "Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches." Only four players ranked in the top 20 are teeing it up, including TGL superstars Shane Lowry and Billy Horschel. Will their extra reps on a simulator translate to success outside in the real world?
No.
This entire part of the schedule lacks juice, but especially this tournament. As I'm writing this, I just noticed Jake Knapp (22 selected!) has already carded a 59... on a course that used to be considered one of the most difficult on TOUR.

I had to double-check the entry list... who are you people selecting Jake Knapp?! I guess he did lead group 4.1 in 2024 points (26 in four events... one of which was the Palm Beaches). And now he's the 15th player in TOUR history to record a sub-60 round. The 3rd to do it in the last 12 months!
Good luck to everyone else who napped on Knapp.
