Rosetta Stoned

Not much scoring last week, despite 18 golfers finishing in the points due to the team format. The playoff finish was somewhat interesting, but I'm starting to think the PGA TOUR should just lean into this event and make it elevated. Open it up to the 80 top players, and have them create 40 teams. Hell... make it a live TV draft... where current '#1 player (Scottie) gets first pick from the field. If he chooses '#2 (Rory), then '#3 (Wyndham) gets to pick next.

Anyway, it would create juice in a dead part of the season...

Which continues this week down in Texas, with the CJ Cup. The trophy is a giant tablet/plaque, covered with Hanguel writing... apparently the names of previous winners.

Jordan Spieth ('#20) is the top ranked player, so another event where he loses to mid-level guys. Fun stuff.
