It's been a sluggish start to the season. Rumor is a lot of the WDs from last week at Torrey Pines was due to the TOUR heading back there in a couple of weeks for the relocated Genesis Invitational. Guys literally didn't want to get beat up twice in three weeks on the same course.
So instead, Harris English (25% selected) prevailed over Sam Stevens (0 picks) and Andrew Novak (2 write-ins).
I'll continue to say it... the official TOUR season should only be the Signature events and Majors. These other weeks should be Korn Ferry tournaments with players attempting to qualify for the next Signature. Relegation should be used throughout the season.
Scarcity is the key to intrigue.
Alas, we have a real event this week... at the non-scarce and over-exposed Pebble Beach. Thankfully they've overhauled the Pro-Am portion to just the first two days. So by the time you actually watch the in prime time — with no other major sports competing for air-time — you'll only see the pros.

Xander is the only guy ranked in the top 30 missing from the field, as he nurses a rib injury. Scottie is back. Spieth is back. Rory is officially starting his season.
Pebble became obsolete long ago, so expect the winning scores to be around -15... unless there's some crazy weather event.
Good luck!
