Manage Expectations

As predicted in my last post... rain washed out the TOUR last Sunday. They didn't even bother playing Monday, so Wyndham Clark was handed a victory (at 1.5x points in our pool) after 54 holes. The Ludvig Loyalists (60% of us) were robbed watching the rookie phenom chase down Clark in round 4... but expect the Swede to rack up many more top 10s this season.

We had some HUGE jumps in the standings, with people ranked in the 30s, 40s, and even 50s vaulting into the money.

This week is the Waste Management Phoenix Open — always played on Taylor Swift Sunday. Last year it was one of those elevated, designated things. Not this year, but the field remains stout, with five of the top 10 teeing it up — including World #1 Scottie Scheffler.

Sunday should be a nice day for golf, but they're getting a lot of rain at the moment. Conditions will be soft, and scoring will be low. Regardless, it's a good lead-in to the Taylor Swift Super Thirst Bowl.

If the TOUR had any real leadership, they'd have set Taylor up with a golfer. Viktor Hovland is the highest ranked unmarried player... but convincing Jordan Spieth to leave his wife (and two kids) for Tay Tay would have brought so many new eyeballs to the sport, the PGA TOUR would be buying the entire country of Saudi Arabia.

Oh well. Missed opportunity.

Good luck!
