We've had a couple of tournaments since my last post... neither of which I actually watched.

We went back-to-back "Davis Zone" with Cameron Davis winning in Detroit, and Davis Thompson set scoring records at the John Deere. These non-signature events are going to continue to feel like duds until the TOUR makes some additional changes to the schedule.

With the exception of this week at the Scottish Open. Now that it's an official TOUR event (we counted it in the past anyway), more people are showing up to get practice for The Open next week.

The course is OK... a newer Tom Doak design which has been tweaked seemingly every year. It's the first Doak course I've heard that wasn't difficult enough for pros. My complaint is they aren't moving to different locations, as this will be the 6th year in a row at Renaissance. Scotland has many more places they should showcase for their national open.

Alas, 13 players ranked into the top 20 will be there. It'll be great watching in the mornings, and a good primer back into true links golf.

Oh... it's also Barbasol Championship week... which I'm now told is the ISCO Championship in Kentucky. I completely missed this on the schedule, so I'll go about fixing it shortly. I'm sure it'll be amazing, with Alejandro Tosti as the highest ranked player in the field... at # 107!

Good luck!
