Scottie predictably won with a ridiculously low score last weekend, tying a PGA TOUR record of 253 strokes. While this week will unfortunately be another shoot-out, it should be a little more exciting.
It's Siggy-Event week as the Truist Championship heads to the seldom seen Philadelphia Cricket Club. Founded in 1854, they claim they're the "oldest country club" in the United States.
But that all depends on how you define "country club."
The Wissahickon Course was designed by A.W. Tillinghast in 1922... the same guy who built Bethpage (Black), Winged Foot, and the Davis Islands Country Club. In 2013 the site was restored, but it's already obsolete for professionals.
This will be the first PGA TOUR event hosted at PCC, and I expect it to be a soft wedge-fest due to recent rains. The Golf Channel has been pushing a narrative that accuracy matters more than distance this week. This is false. The only defense is the potato-chip greens, and the TOUR won't place pins on severe slopes.
Expect the winning score to be around -15.

There's also an opposite-field event in Myrtle Beach or something.
Good luck!
