2 Minute Oil Change

There was a logjam of golfers near the top of the leader board last week, with Stephan Jaegar coming out on top. Scottie Scheffler almost won (again), earning more points for those of you smart enough to select him in Group 1.1.

A decent amount of points were earned for a "regular" event — including five golfers in Group 3.2. The course did actually challenge the pros and create some excitement down the stretch... so not a bad showing for a muni.

We stay in Texas this week for the Valero Texas Open. It's just another regular event, despite being a national Open. But the field is solid (6th strongest so far this year) with four of the top 10 players teeing it up.

The course is a Greg Norman design... and I gotta tell you... was a lot of fun when I played it years ago. That facility was great for a stay-and-play, with over 1,000 rooms, a water park, and two pretty solid golf courses.

Actual golf of consequence returns next week at the Masters.
